GILLETTE, WY, January 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rusty Bell has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Bell currently serves as the director of diversification for the Gillette College Foundation's Office of Economic Transformation, where he oversees strategy to improve the economy of northeastern Wyoming. In this role, he ensures that his office fulfills grants from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, a task that includes attracting outside investment, and supporting business expansion and new job opportunities in the region. He also holds a post on the advisory board for the Gillette College Foundation. Prior to joining the Office of Economic Transformation, Mr. Bell served as a commissioner for Campbell County, Wyoming, for eight years. Expressing a deep love for the state and community that pushed him to run for office, he has sought new ways to utilize the region's infrastructure as it has shifted away from an economy based around coal.

In addition to his public service, Mr. Bell is an accomplished entrepreneur. He has operated Rusty's Taxidermy for nearly two decades, a testament to his business acumen and understanding of niche markets. He also owns a 50% stake in several other businesses that contribute to the vibrancy and economic health of the area: AllDimensions Fitness, Grinners Bar and Liquor Store, and The Axe House. Mr. Bell has honed his skills and knowledge via active participation in industry-related organizations such as the National Association of Counties, the Department of Energy's Interagency Working Group on Coal and Power Plant Communities and Economic Revitalization, and the Wyoming Community Foundation. In 2023, he was appointed to the White House's Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Sequestration Task Force.

Mr. Bell's education has been instrumental in helping him navigate complex economic challenges. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Jamestown in 1997, and he has pursued learning beyond school. In 2018, he graduated from the Leadership Wyoming professional development program, which helped further cement his skills.

Mr. Bell also showcases his deep dedication to his community through extracurricular activities and associations. In 2013, he founded the Wyoming Sportsman's Group, a nonprofit supporting conservation and outdoor sportsmanship. This commitment was recognized by the state government in 2023, when Mr. Bell was appointed to serve on the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission. He was also honored with the Riding for the Brand Award from the Wyoming County Commissioners Association in 2020, celebrating his contributions to the economic advancement of the region.

Mr. Bell's personal life is anchored by his family and outdoor pursuits, including bow fishing and hunting. He credits his success to his ability to forge connections across various sectors and his comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics.
