NEW YORK, January 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diane Freeman, MSW, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Freeman has led a diverse, rewarding career in social work for over 15 years. In 2020, she joined Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach as a residential counselor in Rochester, New York. Since joining the organization, she has been dedicated to working with women exiting prison or in need of substance use disorder treatment. Among a range of responsibilities, Ms. Freeman is involved in daily updates, including fluid intakes, urinalysis, and group and one-on-one counseling.
Recruited from the Center for Disability Rights, a transitional housing facility for individuals referred by hospitals, shelters, mental health facilities, and other locations, Ms. Freeman assisted individuals with obtaining housing and necessary furnishings to be successful. She also worked for Epilepsy-Pralid Inc., working with individuals with traumatic brain injury and epilepsy, overseeing several programs, and supervising program directors, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, interns, and volunteers. Additionally, Ms. Freeman was employed by BestSelf Behavioral Health as a program director specializing in assisting women with substance use disorder. During an earlier stage of her career, she was affiliated with the University of Rochester as a social worker and trauma-focused and cognitive behavioral therapist and the State of Maryland as a foster care program coordinator.
Ms. Freeman is determined to transition into entrepreneurship by establishing her own business and positively impacting society, specifically the homeless population. Recognized for her leadership skills and ability to lend a helping hand to those who are struggling, she is eager to remind people of their value and worth.
Lending her expertise to the civic community, Ms. Freeman presently chairs the Rochester Area Service of Narcotics Anonymous and is active with the Rochester Area Convention Committee of Narcotics Anonymous. She also spent 18 years as a foster parent and was a foster parent trainer for Catholic Charities.
Ms. Freeman graduated from Nazareth College in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in social work. She continued her studies at the University of Buffalo, receiving a Master of Science in Social Work in 2002. Ms. Freeman also received credentials as a licensed clinical supervisor through BestSelf Behavioral Health.
