A proud veteran, Ms. Paulus served in the United States Army and the Arizona National Guard from 1976 through 2008. In 1993, she authored "An Environmental Assessment" to facilitate Camp Navajo's transition to National Guard control, and Ms. Paulus's document contributed significantly to the site's development as an economic cornerstone for northern Arizona.
Academic achievement is also foundational to Ms. Paulus's profile. She holds a Master of Education in educational leadership from Upper Iowa University, which she completed in 2018. Previously, Ms. Paulus earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Arizona State University, which she finished in 1986.
