She received a Bachelor of Science in health information management from Texas State University in 1986 and a Master of Science in industrial and organizational psychology from Capella University in 2011. Ms. Crow also received professional credentials as a registered health information administrator from the American Health Information Management Association, a senior certified professional through the Society of Human Resource Professionals, and a certification in best practices for optimizing a successful telehealth program from the Medical Group Management Association.

In addition to her credentials, Ms. Crow has been active in several professional organizations. She is a member of the San Antonio Medical Group Management Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is also a member and past president of the Texas e-Health Alliance and the Texas Health Information Management Association.
