Dr. Hrib is an esteemed educator who has dedicated her career to teaching and inspiring students. She has been shaping young minds for over five years at Calhoun High School, leveraging her expertise to teach high school education classes, including French and family consumer science, as a versatile and invaluable asset to the academic community. Before her tenure at Calhoun High School, Dr. Hrib taught in various locations, primarily in Georgia. She also taught for one year in Tennessee. Her teaching experience has primarily been in high school, except for her initial three years, which were in middle school. She also taught French from beginner to the international Baccalaureate level and led courses in the AP program at Ivy League schools.
Dr. Hrib's academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in education and French from Georgia Southern University in 1996. She furthered her expertise by earning a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Scranton in 2005. Dr. Hrib's pursuit of excellence culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy in curriculum and instruction from Capella University in 2017.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Hrib is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, the Southern Conference on Language Teachers, the American Association of French Teachers, and the American Federation of Culinary Arts. Her involvement in these organizations underscores her dedication to continuous learning and professional development.Dr. Hrib's contributions extend beyond the classroom through her civic engagements. She volunteers with the Atlanta Foodbank and participates in initiatives supporting the homeless and feeding the hungry. Dr. Hrib plans to become involved with MedShare, demonstrating her commitment to community service.In 2003, Dr. Hrib was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the French government, allowing her to study under top professionals in France. During her tenure in education, she also received multiple Teacher of the Year nominations. Dr. Hrib attributes much of her success to the unwavering support of her family and inspirational administrators who have encouraged her throughout her career. Her perseverance and commitment to doing what is right have been critical factors in her achievements and will undoubtedly continue to guide her future endeavors.
As she looks forward to retirement, Dr. Hrib plans to continue being an exemplary teacher. Post-retirement, she intends to travel and explore the world once her youngest daughter graduates from school.
