ASHBURN, VA, January 27, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tanji Reed Marshall, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Marshall has dedicated nearly three decades to the field of education, distinguishing herself as a leader and advocate for educational equity. As the chief executive officer and principal consultant at Liaison Educational Partners since 2014, she has worked tirelessly to advance educational equity locally and nationally with a focus on elevating educator practices through analysis of curricula and instruction and by fostering policies that ensure students have access to quality teachers and leaders. Additionally, Dr. Marshall builds partnerships with organizations committed to educational equity, hosts seminars and produces content aimed at raising awareness about creating an educational system that caters to every student, especially those who have been marginalized. Concurrently, Dr. Marshall has served as a senior education consultant partner at Performance Solutions Limited since 2022. In 2023, she proudly authored and published "Understanding Your Instructional Power: Curriculum and Language Decisions to Support Each Student."

Her most recent previous roles include director of P12 practice and senior practice associate at The Education Trust from 2020 to 2023 and 2017 to 2020 respectively, and adjunct professor and student mentor at American University from 2018 to 2020.

A progression of distinct professional roles reflects Dr. Marshall's persistent commitment to education. She began her career in 2001 as a classroom teacher at Hackensack Public Schools. She subsequently accumulated critical experience as a classroom teacher and then in the appointment of Title I literacy coach at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools from 2010 to 2011 and thrived as a literacy specialist at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools from 2011 to 2014. Dr. Marshall also shared her expertise as an institute facilitator at UnboundEd Learning Inc. from 2014 to 2017, while simultaneously serving as the university supervisor of the English Education Program at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 2014 to 2015. In addition, Dr. Marshall served as a graduate assistant at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 2015 to 2017.

Throughout her career, Dr. Marshall has been an active member of several industry-related organizations including the American Educational Research Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Council for Teacher Education and the National Association for Multicultural Education. Dr. Marshall is also proud to be affiliated with the Literacy Research Association, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; these vital affiliations have enabled her to remain connected with peers and at the forefront of educational research and policy development.

Dr. Marshall's academic achievements have played a pivotal role in her professional success. She earned a PhD in curriculum and instruction from Virginia Tech in 2017 after obtaining a Master of Arts in English education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, from which she graduated magna cum laude in 2010. Dr. Marshall also proudly completed a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston College in 1986.

Driven by faith, Dr. Marshall attributes her success to a commitment to excellence and lifelong learning and to her attentive listening skills, which enable her to effectively address the challenges faced by her clients. She is also a competitive triathlete.
