Mr. Browne currently serves as the president of research and innovation of North America at L'Oreal S.A., a role he has held since 2021. In this capacity, he oversees the largest research center in North America for the company, which includes a team of 600 scientists and engineers. His work encompasses fundamental upstream research on new molecules and techniques to finished products and formulations for makeup, hair, and skincare. Responsible for the entire innovation process, from development to evaluation and ensuring safety regulatory compliance, Mr. Browne has been recognized for his fundamental contributions to not only beauty innovation, home and personal care products, but new business developments as well.

Mr. Browne takes immense pride in the innovative market advancements he has introduced during his tenure at L'Oreal. Prior to his current position, Mr. Browne held numerous roles of high leadership within L'Oreal, including as the senior vice president of research and innovation of the Asia Pacific region from 2018 to 2021, and as vice president of research and innovation in Shanghai, China, between 2013 and 2018. Previously, he directed innovation efforts and home and personal care research and development at Unilever in various positions from 2007 to 2013, having first focused on hair and deodorant research in North America between 2004 and 2007. Mr. Browne began his illustrious career with Procter and Gamble in research and development in 1993.

Mr. Browne stumbled upon the consumer goods industry without realizing the science and technology that underpinned the field. Attending the University of Waterloo, he joined a co-op program to help finance his education. During one of his co-op terms, he applied to several jobs, including at Procter and Gamble. That experience led to a full-time job offer, where he discovered the fascinating science behind consumer goods. Realizing that he could make a meaningful difference that millions of people could appreciate, Mr. Browne has subsequently surrounded himself with brilliant minds, from whom he can constantly learn and further enhance his value in the lives of many.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Browne cherishes quality time spent with his family, with whom he regularly embarks on many adventures.
