Ms. Berstein-Rosales has distinguished herself through her extensive work at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), a nonprofit organization that seeks to advise the United States government on national security issues. Now active as a consultant, through which she leverages extensive experience to assess work proposals and ensure strategic alignment with organizational objectives, Ms. Berstein-Rosales previously found success as the director of research programs at the IDA from 2010 to 2024, during which time she liaised with the Systems and Analyses Center, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, in allocating vital program resources and monitoring the IDA's own research efforts.

Ms. Berstein-Rosales' career also includes significant tenures as the director of operations and planning at the National Research Division and National Research Institute FFRDC within the RAND Corporation, as well as roles as an evaluation research associate for the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in Canada. Outside of her primary endeavors, Ms. Berstein-Rosales has worked since 2010 as the co-founder and owner of a private real estate management firm, demonstrating her versatility and entrepreneurial spirit.

Ms. Berstein-Rosales' academic background laid the foundation for her professional achievements. Studying sociology and criminal justice at Boston University, where she was awarded the Simmons Memorial Scholarship, she ultimately earned a bachelor's degree in 1988. Following this accomplishment, Ms. Berstein-Rosales later attained a Master of Public Administration at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, in 1997.

Among her personal accolades, Ms. Berstein-Rosales has been honored with several awards throughout her career. Notably, she received the President's Award from RAND Corporation in 2009--a distinction typically reserved for researchers--highlighting her exceptional contributions.

Beyond her professional life and academic accomplishments, Ms. Berstein-Rosales enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She is married to Roberto, alongside whom she has three children: Daniel, Gabriella, and Rob. Her interests include reading and traveling, activities that provide relaxation and enrichment outside of her demanding career.
