Mr. Piro is a seasoned professional in the field of commercial real estate and workplace experience, currently serving as the director of workplace experience at JLL since 2022. In this role, he focuses on enhancing the user experience by integrating hospitality into facilities management. Prior to his current position, Mr. Piro was the director of workplace experience at Cushman & Wakefield from 2017 to 2022, where he played a pivotal role in collaborating with Citibank's global headquarters. He collaborating with the company to build the community manager program from the ground up to become the world-renowned community manager program. His leadership extended across North America and Canada, managing approximately 45 community managers, and he is proud of the impact he had training entry-level individuals and relished watching them grow their careers to the point they could occupy his role.

Before his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Piro joined CBRE in 2012 on the American Express account, initially as a conference and customer service manager before advancing to global workplace manager in 2017. During his time there, he was responsible for running conferences and events, eventually becoming a workplace experience manager. In this role, he leveraged his ability to train entry-level employees and enjoyed watching them grow into leadership roles, which is a testament to his commitment to mentorship and professional development.

Before applying his skills in the commercial real estate sector, Mr. Piro worked in the hospitality industry at Glen Cove Mansion Hotel & Conference Center, where he served as a conference planning manager from 2006 to 2012. There, he worked his way up to operations manager, earning several Manager of the Quarter Awards for his exceptional performance. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management at Hofstra University in 2003, Mr. Piro interned in the marketing department as a customer service associate at Walt Disney World from 2003 to 2004, a role in which he gained valuable experience in customer service and operations.

While there, Mr. Piro also leveraged the experience he gained in high school and college working at a deli to cook in the Epcot restaurant Electric Umbrella while pursuing a master's degree. In 2005, he obtained a Master of Business Administration in Management from Dowling College. Together, his degrees and early experiences shaped his approach to business management and operations.

In reflecting on his career trajectory and experiences, Mr. Piro attributes his success to his ability to connect with others on a personal level rather than just transactional interactions. Moreover, he credits his passion and hospitality mindset with helping him build and maintain these interpersonal connections. For Mr. Piro, his work is more than just an experience; it is about how he can help others grow as individuals; because of this outlook, he firmly believes in having a mentor and being a mentor to others to help them rise up. He is extremely proud of his current role as it really is a career-defining role and opportunity.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Piro is actively involved in civic organizations. He has volunteered with Make-A-Wish for a decade and contributed to CycleNation to help stroke victims as well as the Wall Street Run & Heart Walk through the American Heart Association. These commitments reflect his dedication to giving back to the community and supporting meaningful causes. In his free time, Mr. Piro enjoys fitness and sports and is a fan of the New York Giants, the Yankees and the Orlando Magic.

In the next five to 10 years, Mr. Piro aims to become the go-to expert on workplace experience, advocating for excellence in service delivery within the industry. His vision is to elevate client service standards beyond being "good enough", as one needs to be great in the industry and elevate the level of service provided to clients in order to achieve greatness.
