Dr. Jemberie's educational journey began with a bachelor's degree in economics from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia in 2003, followed by a master's degree in economics with a specialization in economic policy analysis from the same institution in 2007. He then pursued further studies, earning two Master of Arts degrees in the economics of international trade and European integration from Staffordshire University in England and the University of Antwerp in Belgium, both awarded in 2010. His academic pursuits culminated in the completion of his PhD in economics from Southern Illinois University in 2017, which he achieved ahead of schedule.

Dr. Jemberie attributes his success to his family's influence and competitive spirit. A standout moment on his path was receiving the European Union Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, a prestigious international program offering students the opportunity to pursue degrees across multiple universities.
