Upon graduating from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in communication and media studies, Mr. Verniero began his career in programming. While working toward his MBA, he honed his information technology expertise in various roles. In 1993, he earned an MBA in marketing and economics from his alma mater and joined Chubb as the associate vice president of corporate marketing and strategic development. Over the years, Mr. Verniero gained valuable expertise as vice president of partner operations for Homesite Insurance before returning to Chubb as the vice president of business planning and development.

In the ensuing years, Mr. Verniero honed his leadership expertise in various executive positions, including vice president of enterprise information technology strategy, before obtaining his current role as senior vice president of digital solutions and business architecture. In this capacity, he develops sophisticated and complex digital applications to sell and service small business insurance. Through Chubb's eponymous institute, Mr. Verniero has also expanded his professional knowledge by completing a certification in computer science.

Dedicated to his community, Mr. Verniero contributes to his community through Seton Hall University's School of Business and Delbarton School, through which he serves as a student mentor. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in rejoining Chubb and completing a project for the board. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his family. He was the second in his family to graduate from college. Additionally, he notes that broad professional and educational experiences laid a solid foundation for his future successes. Within the next five years, Mr. Verniero would like to leverage his current skill set in a different industry. Personally, he intends to ensure his children have opportunities similar to his own.
