Mr. de la Torre's career began at IBM Corporation, where he worked as an account representative from 1987 to 1991. This led him to venture into real estate development and eventually move to New York to work under the guidance of renowned designer Peter Marino between 1995 and 1998. During this transformative period, Mr. de la Torre contributed to iconic projects for Chanel and LVMH and designed Valentino's apartment in Paris and Rothschild's house in London.

In 1998, Mr. de la Torre joined Polo Ralph Lauren as an associate creative director for the Home Collection, where he established the interior design department until 2001. Concurrently, he worked as an independent contractor for Morgans Hotel Group in 1999, collaborating with Ian Schrager on the renovation of Morgans Hotel. These experiences enriched Mr. de la Torre's journey and propelled him into future success in entrepreneurship.

In preparation for his career, Mr. de la Torre received a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics from Marquette University. Subsequently, he completed coursework in architecture at Columbia University in the graduate school of architecture, planning and preservation before earning a Master of Fine Arts in fine and decorative art through Sotheby's Institute at the University of Manchester.

Beyond his primary career objectives, Mr. de la Torre has been involved civically by contributing to Housing Works Design on a Dime since 2005 and providing interior design services for the Edward Hopper House since 2016. Passionate about art, he also regularly attends art shows for inspiration and enjoys exploring historic houses, where he frequently collaborates with talented architects to infuse his unique vision into his projects.

Throughout his career, Mr. de la Torre has received numerous accolades, including being named one of House Beautiful's Top 50 Designers in America and Elle D cor's A-List of Top 100 Designers in the World.
