Since 2020, Ms. Hamid has served as the chief executive officer of Noor Hamid Interiors, an interior design firm where that focuses on mixing and matching classic and original designs. Additionally, she is the business owner of Interior Source, a product-based trading company she established in 2023. As a dual business owner, Ms. Hamid oversees her businesses and their social media; she works from home, conducts office work, researches and procures products and also travels extensively to conduct site visits to construction sites, attend appointments and meetings and communicate with vendors.

Before owning and operating two businesses, Ms. Hamid's career journey began in education. After graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in elementary education K-6 from Florida Atlantic University in 2007, she pursued her passion for teaching. She taught as a fourth-grade homeroom teacher for six months before transitioning to teach English to fifth through eighth graders for nearly two years. Despite her initial aspirations to become a teacher, Ms. Hamid realized that teaching was not her ultimate career goal.

Relocating to Tampa, Florida, with her husband and preparing to start a family marked a turning point in Ms. Hamid's professional life. She launched Noor Hamid Designs, an embroidery and headband business, as well as Lush Desserts, a baking business. Balancing these initial entrepreneurial ventures while raising four children was demanding but rewarding. Six months after giving birth to her last child, Ms. Hamid founded Noor Hamid Interiors, inspired by designer Sophie Patterson. Despite having no formal background in design, her ambition drove her to pursue her own path in interior design.

Ms. Hamid's entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond her businesses. She is currently collaborating with other business coaches and mentors at Interior Source to develop and launch new concepts. Her plans involve working on projects with retailers, general contractors, developers and designers in the near future. Looking ahead, Ms. Hamid hopes that Interior Source will grow into a national and international brand, adding significant value to the profession.

As a result of her professional achievements and aspirations, Ms. Hamid has been featured in Bold Magazine and Voyage Tampa. In all she has pursued and accomplished, she attributes her success to her ability to focus and consistently dedicate herself to her tasks. Specifically, her commitment to doing the work effectively drives her success.

Along with her aforementioned businesses, Ms. Hamid hopes to tap into her interest in property development and holds aspirations to work with a developer. Throughout her career, she has cultivated her skills from the ground up and values the creative freedom to bring projects to life. She remains open to working on her own projects or taking on projects from a developer. Furthermore, in the next five to 15 years, she aspires to become a venture capitalist, as she has a strong passion for business and enjoys growing companies.

Overall, Ms. Hamid's journey so far, from education to entrepreneurship, showcases her resilience and determination to build something meaningful out of nothing. Most notably, her ability to thrive under pressure and shape her companies autonomously has turned her businesses into successes even during challenging times like the pandemic. Alongside her business endeavors and inspirational career goals, Ms. Hamid is civically engaged as a member of 200 Muslim Women Who Care and serves as the chairwoman of the Hillsborough Organization for Peace and Equality (HOPE).
