In addition to her current role, Ms. Hoffman was a senior regulatory affairs advisor at Enhanced Compliance Inc. from 2021 to 2023. Her career also includes a significant tenure as a principal consultant at Regs and Recall Strategies LLC since 2013, where she continues to make impactful contributions. Additionally, she has shared her expertise as a principal instructor with ComplianceOnline from 2012 to 2022 and served as a senior industry consultant for The FDA Group LLC from 2014 to 2019. Her extensive experience encompasses other roles as a senior consultant for Barile and Associates Inc., as well as Noblett and Rueland. Notably, Ms. Hoffman held pivotal positions within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including branch chief of recalls and consumer safety officer, beginning in 1975. Among her proudest achievements has been teaching personnel within the FDA to critically analyze regulations and understand their implications thoroughly.
Ms. Hoffman's leadership in the field has extended to serving as the Baltimore Washington Chapter Leader for the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society from 2005 to 2010. Her journey is further enriched by involvement in key roles such as jurisdictional review officer and small business representative for CeDAR. She is also an active member of the FDA Alumni Association.
Ms. Hoffman earned a Bachelor of Science in behavioral and social sciences from the University of Maryland. In accounting for her subsequent success, she largely credits her extensive experience and role as a small business representative for the FDA for over two decades, which has made her a sought-after expert in her field. Her decision to become a consultant was driven by a desire to help the wider industry comprehend FDA regulations more effectively.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Hoffman leads an active personal life marked by contributions to charitable causes such as the Children's Cancer Fund, the World Food Bank, and the MS Society. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Government Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and the RAPS Special Recognition Award in 2008, among others for her outstanding contributions.
