Before entering entrepreneurship, Mr. Brinegar served as the director of solution architecture at Hitachi Vantara from 2014 to 2023. During this tenure, one of his proudest achievements was transforming the company through the development of Manufacturing Insights, an analytics product for manufacturers. Mr. Brinegar's team successfully released version 1.0 within six months and secured several multimillion-dollar deals for its implementation and integration.

Mr. Brinegar briefly worked as a research and development manager at ThinkTank Collaborative Process Software. He also garnered success as a senior software engineer at GHX from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Mr. Brinegar held multiple other software engineering roles with organizations like Hewlett-Packard, SkyeTek, Aegis Analytical, @Link Networks, and Bolder Heuristics. His career began as a software engineer at TelWatch Inc. in 1988.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Brinegar earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1988. Outside of his professional life, he is actively involved in professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He is also a middle school tennis and softball coach for the Poudre School District and is associated with Realities for Children.
