Dr. Rodgers's role at her firm is the culmination of years of experience and leadership in health education and consultancy.

Before establishing Proximate Learning LLC, Dr. Rodgers was a leadership and learning consultant at Texas Health Resources from 2023 to 2024. Her tenure there was marked by significant contributions to developing enterprise-wide social impact initiatives. Between 2016 and 2023, Dr. Rodgers was a senior learning consultant at Proximate Learning LLC and a principal consultant in impact evaluation and strategy at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. Earlier, she excelled as a senior consultant for the CDC from 2014 to 2023.

In addition to her work in the field, Dr. Rodgers enjoyed a significant academic career. She began at Emory University in Atlanta as a senior manager of curriculum and program development and senior public health association and training specialist in 2007, remaining on campus until 2014. Dr. Rodgers also found success as an adjunct assistant professor from 2013 to 2021. Additionally, Dr. Rogers taught as an assistant professor at Georgia College and State University from 2015 to 2018.

Highly educated, Dr. Rodgers earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in public health from the University of Georgia in Athens in 2001. She also completed a Master of Science in public health in health behavior and education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 2003 and a Doctor of Education in health education from Columbia University in New York in 2010. Dr. Rodgers's pursuit of excellence is further evidenced by her attainment of several professional designations, including certifications in architecture, leadership solutions, and as a 360 master through Korn Ferry, as a master's certified health education specialist, and with DISC certification.

Dr. Rodgers's professional affiliation as a member and former board of trustees for the Society of Public Health underscores her commitment to public health education, allowing her to influence public health policy and education on a broader scale.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Rodgers has made significant contributions through civic associations and creative publications. She has been a consultant for the Department of Health's Women, Infant, and Children's Program at the Atlanta Community Food Bank since 2014 and the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential since 2015. Moreover, Dr. Rodgers is recognized for her expertise as the founding editor of Pedagogy in Health Promotion.
