Under his leadership, the programs have expanded to work with numerous schools throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, reaching thousands of children annually through after-school programs and summer camps.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Richmond served as a site director and staff instructor at Advantage QuickStart Tennis, a role that laid the groundwork for his later achievements. His early tenure as a consultant for Advantage Tennis Clubs further honed his skills in program design and implementation. Before fully immersing himself in the world of tennis coaching, Mr. Richmond gained valuable administrative experience as a clerk at Getnick Livingston Atkinson and Priore, LLP. Additionally, he enriched his coaching acumen as a staff instructor at Paragon Athletic Club.
Mr. Richmond's diverse educational background includes a Master of Arts in humanities from the University of Chicago in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and Russian and Eurasian studies from Bard College in 2012. Furthermore, his certification in PTR Junior Development from the Professional Tennis Registry underscores his commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
In considering his career path to date, Mr. Richmond attributes much of his success to the collaborative culture within his team and the mentorship he received from leaders within his organization. His journey into tennis began at an early age, with a passion for sports that eventually led him to choose tennis coaching as his career path. In the future, he aspires to take on more significant leadership roles within his organization and to establish his own tennis business in New York City.
Mr. Richmond's contributions to tennis coaching have been recognized with several awards, including the coveted 2023 New York PTR Coach of the Year by the Professional Tennis Registry. Other accolades include the Coach's Award from Men's Varsity Tennis Coach, Team Sportsmanship Award from the Bard College Athletic Department, a Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Rotary International, and an Eagle Scout award from Boy Scouts of America.Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Richmond enjoys serving on the Planning Committee for the Trenton Arts Festival.
