Mr. Alfaro also worked for Hologic Inc. in Costa Rica, beginning in 2006 in manufacturing engineering management and then as a manufacturing project manager from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, he excelled as a senior operations program manager between 2013 and 2018, where he played a pivotal role in developing new technology for breast cancer diagnosis with high accuracy. This achievement stands as one of his most significant career milestones.

Mr. Alfaro's earlier career saw him in supply chain management and manufacturing roles at Baxter International Inc. from 2000 to 2006 and Sara Lee Branded Apparel in Costa Rica between 1997 and 2000.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Alfaro acquired a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on medical devices. In addition to his professional endeavors, he is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. Mr. Alfaro also participates in civic-minded activities, including volunteering for Kids of Quincy, Massachusetts, and at a local food bank.

Mr. Alfaro remains dedicated to ensuring that the teams he has developed continue using advanced technologies in the fight against cancer. As such, he has been promoting the involvement of more female engineers in his field by establishing an internship program for junior and senior college students to support this initiative.
