His early career includes positions as the chief health counsel for Government Acquisitions Inc., a legislative assistant to Congressman Joe Barton and a legislative correspondent to Congressman Charlie Norwood.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international studies from the University of North Carolina in 1997 and later completed a Juris Doctor at The Catholic University of America in 2005.

Mr. Long's personal life is centered on family and diverse interests. Born into a family with a strong military background, he developed an appreciation for service and patriotism at an early age. Today, he serves with the Knights of Columbus in a civic capacity and enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading history books, playing golf and pickleball and watching sports.
