EL PASO, TEXAS, February 07, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrew W. Lawrence, MS, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Lawrence has dedicated over three decades to the field of information technology, specializing in cabling, fiber optics, network equipment configuration and learning management systems (LMS). With a career spanning over 30 years, he has established himself as an expert in LMS administration and technical coordination.

Since 2005, Mr. Lawrence has served as the technical coordinator and LMS administrator at El Paso Community College. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining and providing course support outside of regular operations. He offers administrative support for the current LMS system to faculty, students, the dean and various college organizations. His responsibilities also extend to providing technical support to high schools throughout El Paso and maintaining communication with every school district's network technical support personnel to assist users with video conferencing and test monitoring support.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Lawrence worked as a network specialist at El Paso Community College from 1990 to 2005. His transition to the distance education department in 2005 marked a significant milestone in his career, allowing him to leverage his extensive experience in IT to support the college's distance learning initiatives.

Mr. Lawrence's educational background includes a Master of Science degree in information technology from Colorado Technical University in 2008, a Bachelor of Business Administration in business administration and management from Park University in 1992 and an Associate of Applied Science in accounting from El Paso Community College in 1985.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Lawrence has been actively involved with the El Paso Community College Nursing Department as a trainer and technical coordinator since 2008. He is also a member of the EPCC Professional Staff Association.

Mr. Lawrence attributes his success to his unwavering commitment to his work and ensuring uninterrupted access to necessary systems for both faculty and students. His dedication has significantly contributed to the institution's ongoing success. He is particularly proud of maintaining an impressive 99.99 percent server uptime, minimizing disruptions for students and faculty members.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his family. He envisions a future filled with relaxation and moments with loved ones as he carefully plans and prepares for retirement. His wife has played a crucial supportive role in his endeavors, providing encouragement and understanding as he pursues his goals.
