Before assuming his current role, Mr. Freeman worked as a chef at Rogue Duck Hospitality's One13 Social and Pitt Street Station in 2023. He also served as chef and kitchen manager at Sage Cafe from 2022 to 2023. Mr. Freeman owns Café on Market Creations in Newville, Pennsylvania, which has gained significant acclaim. Additionally, his previous ownership of Café on Market and New Market Bistro in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, further cemented his reputation as a respected figure in the regional culinary scene.

Throughout his career, Mr. Freeman has demonstrated expertise in successfully opening, stocking and staffing new establishments. His industry contributions have earned him recognition as a member of the Caterina de Medici Gastronomic Society and a Medal of Participation for his dedication to the culinary arts.

Mr. Freeman studied business administration and management at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, from 1983-1985. Additionally, he holds several diverse credentials, including being a licensed pilot and scuba diver through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Freeman focused on self-reflection and professional growth, dedicating time to studying the culinary arts and self-improvement. He drew inspiration from books like "The Fifth Agreement" by Don Miguel Ruiz and "Falling Upward" by Fr. Richard Rohr, which reinforced his commitment to mentoring and helping others succeed in the industry.

Mr. Freeman attributes his success to his lifelong passion for hospitality and his diverse experience across multiple roles. Inspired by his grandfather, a baker in New York, he initially learned bread-making skills that became the foundation of his culinary expertise. Looking ahead, he aims to continue driving Rogue Duck Hospitality's growth while mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals. He advises those entering the field to pursue education enthusiastically and seek mentorship to develop essential interpersonal skills for success.
