For the last five years of her corporate career, she served as an executive officer and vice president at Northwestern Mutual, a Fortune 100 financial services company. She held multiple roles over her tenure, including chief HR leader of several vital organizations, partnering with C-suite and executive leaders, and as head of enterprise strategic workforce planning. During her tenure, Ms. O'Dell was invited to serve on multiple enterprise committees, including enterprise portfolio management, strategic pursuits and M&A, racial equity task force, and enterprise change management.

Her leadership also included working for Unum Group, where she was the head of human resources for the global services, technology, and digital transformation organizations. Previously, Ms. O'Dell was the head of human resources for client engagement, marketing, and digital services at Sutherland Global.

Ms. O'Dell's career also included the role of director of human resources for global mergers and acquisitions at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and, previously, Hewlett-Packard. Additionally, she held human resource business partnership roles at Hewlett-Packard, Reynolds and Reynolds, and K2Share. This included roles in HR data and technology, talent acquisition, and developing HR departments from the ground up.

Ms. O'Dell holds a human resource development and business management degree from Texas A&M University. In 2022, she was selected to attend the Chief Human Resources Officer Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she is a designated Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Over the years, Mandy has built and led countless HR capabilities across all HR disciplines, both domestically and internationally, across a wide range of industries. This includes building an enterprise M&A program office, multiple HR M&A program offices, multiple total rewards strategies and programs, talent acquisition and outsourcing strategies and programs, two enterprise change management offices, an enterprise workforce planning capability, multiple talent and culture strategies for global matrixed organizations, multiple DEI program offices and councils, multiple job architecture, skills, and career pathing transformations, multiple HRIS and HR technology implementations, multiple talent and performance management program transformations, and she has served as the HR lead through multiple digital and business transformations.

In addition to her primary work-related endeavors, Ms. O'Dell has a strong commitment to mentoring in strategic HR development through her long-standing involvement with SHRM. Beyond her professional involvement, she co-founded a service organization, The Ranch Holdings, with her combat veteran husband, dedicated to helping veterans and their families fulfill their life goals through financial planning, career support, and venture funding. She has also been an independent career coach since 2015, offering guidance to individuals navigating their career paths.
