TAMUNING, GUAM, January 29, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stanley Y. Yasuhiro, DDS, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in general and laser dentistry, Dr. Yasuhiro has earned distinction as a dentist with Tumon Dental Office. Since 1990, he has focused his efforts on working to improve the overall dental practice and system in Guam, having created a special type of official membership of Guam in the American Dental Association. He also served as a liaison for the FDI World Dental Federation, representing Guam for 30 years. Similarly, he has served as the deputy president of FIM Asia since 2018, a valued member of the Guam Dental Society and four years as the chairman of the Guam Board of Examiners for Dentistry.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Yasuhiro began his career as an associate dentist with Bruce Reynolds and Associates in 1983 and was a partner and dentist with Reynolds and Yasuhiro in 1987. Following this time, he started his solo dental practice Tumon Dental Office and served as the president of Pacific Dental Partners, LLC in 2000. He was a dental laser instructor in 2002, returning to this role in 2017. He has also lent his expertise to numerous public boards, including the local baseball organization, Rotary Club, local hospital, national motorcycle federation and fishermen's co-op, among others. His cherished accomplishments are taking the Guam All-Star Little League Big League Division team to the World Big League Series and having Team Guam in the 2023 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXON) qualifying out of 40 countries and entering the main race finishing 17th out of 20 countries.

Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Yasuhiro is proud to have been featured in several publications, including in press mentions from the World Clinical Laser Institute for his work with them. He was also honored with a Pierre Fauchard Academy Award in 1983 in recognition of his outstanding work in dental school and was chosen for the award which honors one who would promote and represent dentistry in their community.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Yasuhiro completed coursework in biological science at the University of Guam in 1976 and earned a Bachelor of Science in biological science and marine biology from the California State University Hayward in 1979. Following these achievements, he attained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in 1983 and underwent a fellowship at the World Clinical Laser Institute in 2016. Well-qualified in his field, he is a licensed dentist for the States of California, Wisconsin and Guam. He also holds a master of laser dentistry certificate and a field service engineer certification. Within the coming years, Dr. Yasuhiro intends to continue his work as a dentist and advocating for improvements in dental care and access in Guam, as well as volunteering in sports organizations for the athletes from Guam.
