As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Stergakos has established a distinguished career in the media and entertainment industry. As Vice President of Creative Operations, Project Management and Production Design in the Global Creative Group for Consumer Products at Paramount Global, she has played a pivotal role in aligning creative strategies with business objectives and fostering innovation within her team. In 2022, she created a cohesive environment between the creative and business teams while reporting to the EVP of Creative Strategy and the EVP of Global Franchise & Consumer Products Marketing. As the Consumer Products team restructured, Ms. Stergakos focused on empowering team members to reach their full potential by providing opportunities for skill development, autonomy in decision-making, and a supportive environment where they felt valued and encouraged to innovate. Her efforts involved cultivating productive relationships across marketing, sales, technology, human resources, and creative departments, as well as managing cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
In 2024, Ms. Stergakos leveraged her innovative approach to identify and implement software to securely distribute confidential theatrical graphic designs and illustration materials globally. She led the customization of existing software to provide encryption, tracking, and control of digital creative shared across users, devices, and platforms. This transformative achievement enhanced team efficiency and communication and ensured the secure transfer of creative materials, protecting valuable intellectual property and maintaining confidentiality.
During her tenure at Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2019, Ms. Stergakos envisioned and implemented a more effective structure by establishing an in-house consumer products print advertising team. This initiative aimed to significantly save resources, including time and money, by reducing the need to manage assets and briefs with external agencies. Ms. Stergakos emphasized that an in-house team, with its deep understanding of the brand and intellectual properties, was uniquely positioned to deliver more effective and cohesive consumer product print advertisements.
Ms. Stergakos started her career at Nickelodeon as a project manager overseeing illustration projects from 1999 to 2002, where she laid the groundwork for her future successes. She was there at the start of SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Blues Clues. She then advanced to senior manager, director, and senior director of project management for consumer products advertising from 2002 to 2007. Following this, she served as executive director of project management of advertising and movie promotions from 2007 to 2009, and then as vice president of project management of on-air promotions in 2009. In 2010, she moved back to consumer products to oversee the management of property design and product development, playing a crucial role in launching consumer products for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and PAW Patrol. In 2023, as the VP of Paramount Global Creative Operations, she was instrumental in the team effort to launch Yellowstone consumer products.
A member of the National Broadcasting Society and Alpha Epsilon Rho at Ithaca College, Ms. Stergakos's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism with a minor in business from Ithaca College in 1993. This education provided her with a solid foundation in journalism and business operations, which has been instrumental in her professional achievements. Upon graduating, she secured a position at MTV in the print department. Despite having little prior knowledge of print media, she embraced the challenge enthusiastically, quickly adapting to her new environment. She attributes her success to perseverance and resilience, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.
Beyond her professional endeavors, she has started volunteering at The Ronald McDonald House in NYC in early 2025 and also volunteers at a neighborhood elementary school, supporting the school's art program. Additionally, she served as the board president for a cooperative in Chelsea, NYC, from 2008 to 2010. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as the CableAce Award and the Channel 13 Award for Cable Excellence for "Down Came the Rain" during her time at Ithaca College in 1991.
In her personal life, Ms. Stergakos enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is committed to personal growth and professional development by embracing new opportunities and challenges while maintaining a balance that allows her to fulfill personal and professional goals. Looking ahead, she plans to continue making meaningful contributions through volunteer work that aligns with her core values and aims to stay at the forefront of technological advancements by learning new technologies.
