Dr. Souaid's academic journey began with a Doctor of Medicine from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 2020. Before he began his internal medicine training at the Cleveland Clinic, he completed a rotation in cardiology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in 2021, and served in a sponsored visiting physician role at the Mayo Clinic Rochester that same year. Additionally, Dr. Souaid was the co-founder and chief medical officer of a Beirut based digital health startup, from 2020 to 2021, where he demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills. He then furthered his education with a Master of Public Health focusing on health management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health graduating in 2022. There, he also engaged in biotechnology coursework at Massachusetts Institute of Technology through Harvard Cross Registration. During the same period, he completed an internship at Goodpath and served as a medical advisor to multiple startups participating in the venture program at Harvard Innovation Labs.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Souaid has been a member of the American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology. His research work was presented at international scientific conferences, reflecting his commitment to staying abreast of developments in his field. He has also been active civically, having formerly served in various leadership roles with a humanitarian student association at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and multiple non-governmental organizations in Lebanon.

Dr. Souaid's contributions to the medical literature are evident in his authorship of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles on topics ranging from oncology, cardiology, nephrology, infectious diseases, to public health preparedness strategies. His work has been published in esteemed journals such as Pharmacogenomics, Future Cardiology and the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.
