Mr. Slabey's professional journey began in 1968 as a computer programmer at Ford Motor Company. He then advanced to roles such as systems engineer at Unisys from 1969 to 1973 and computer systems engineer at Progress Energy between 1973 and 1975.

In the subsequent years, Mr. Slabey served as a data processing consultant at Unisys from 1975 to 1981 and a program management specialist at AT&T between 1981 and 1989. His career continued to evolve with his role as an advanced systems engineer at Electronic Data Systems from 1989 to 1991. Shortly thereafter, he founded QBO Corporation, serving as the company's owner for three decades until 2021.

Besides his full-time commitments in the field, Mr. Slabey has garnered success as a Det Norske Veritas senior lead assessor from 1997-2011, Professional Evaluation and Certificate Board-certified quality management system lead auditor from 2016-present, a senior lead assessor for Vehicle Certification Agency, a British government vehicle certification and testing agency from 2006-2017, a senior lead auditor at UTAC CERAM, a French market-leading group in vehicle testing, type approval, and emerging technologies for autonomous, connected, and electric vehicles from 2017-2021. Additionally, he has been a certified trainer and coach for Plexus International since 2007 and senior lead auditor for American Systems Registrars from 2011 to 2021.

Mr. Slabey has held a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from Kennedy Western University since 1995. He also garnered several certifications, including being an Exemplar Global senior lead auditor, International Register of Certified Auditors principal auditor, International Automotive Task Force (IATF) international qualified automotive auditor, certified ISO lead auditor, and Plexus International certified trainer and coach.

Mr. Slabey's dedication to quality assurance is further exemplified by his senior membership in the American Society for Quality since 1992 and his involvement with the International Council on Systems Engineering. Beyond his professional affiliations, he is actively involved in civic organizations such as Measure for Measure and Plymouth Oratorial Society.

Throughout his distinguished tenure, Mr. Slabey's most notable achievement has been his work with clients over the past three decades, helping them become certified to international standards from scratch.
