Ms. Kimball is a professional in public health and health care emergency management who has been instrumental as the Director of Special Projects at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation in support of the National Center for Disaster Medicine & Public Health. Her responsibilities include supervising stakeholder engagement, program management, strategic planning and knowledge management. Ms. Kimball oversees various aspects of stakeholder engagement and strategic planning in support of the Department of Defense and federal interagency stakeholders.

Ms. Kimball's career also included significant contributions to the Logan Health system in Montana, where she was the program manager for emergency preparedness from 2017 to 2020. During COVID-19, she led response planning for her healthcare system and a tri-county area command. Ms. Kimball was also the Chair of the Western Region Healthcare Coalition and a state Commissioner for the Montana State Emergency Response Commission.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Kimball succeeded as the program manager for medical countermeasures for the public health department in King County, Washington, between 2012 and 2015. Her work involved developing and implementing strategies for pandemic and bioterrorism preparedness for a county of more than two million residents.

Ms. Kimball's military service is equally commendable. She has been a governance specialist in emergency management with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve since 2020. Her previous roles include health care operations and plan officer from 2006 to 2020 and dental assistant between 2003 and 2006. Ms. Kimball was awarded a U.S. Army Commendation Medal and an Iraqi Campaign Medal for her deployment to Iraq in 2010.

Highly educated, Ms. Kimball received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2006 and a Master of Science in disaster medicine and management from Philadelphia University in 2016. She also earned several professional credentials, including a graduate certificate in emergency preparedness from New York Medical College, a master exercise practitioner designation from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and credentials as a Certified Emergency Manager® through the International Association of Emergency Managers.

In addition to her professional achievements, she is involved in civic organizations. In 2012, she volunteered as a with Team Rubicon in support of hurricane response on the coast of Louisiana. Moreover, Ms. Kimball has co-authored several publications in Cambridge University Press and Health Security.

Ms. Kimball attributes her success to embracing new opportunities and taking risks. Her decision to join the U.S. Army Reserve while pursuing a full-time career and advanced education proved fortuitous and significantly contributed to her career advancement. Looking ahead, Ms. Kimball aims to expand her expertise in health security and organizational leadership.
