MESA, AZ, February 03, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David R. Guevara Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Guevara has forged a career that bridges technical innovation with strategic growth, always driven by empowering others to excel. In 2023 he retired as a Telco CTO from IBM Consulting and is now a Complex Solutions Architect for his firm, Complaxion – which turns complex problems into actionable solutions. This semi-retirement enables him to research and consult on how teams can achieve 30% to 50% productivity gains from humans using Generative AI (GenAI) in their day-to-day work. His research centers on small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), since their hurdles to adopt and apply GenAI are greater than in large enterprises, but the gains can be transformative.
He had an extensive career in IT consulting as an executive, strategist, consultant, and technologist. A pivotal moment in Mr. Guevara's career came at the age of 22, when he worked in management consulting and executive search. Tasked with helping highly credentialed executives navigate challenges in startup and mid-sized companies, he posed the question that would guide his professional trajectory: "How do you rapidly grow a business and keep the wheels on?" This inquiry sparked a career-long quest to devise practical, scalable solutions for business growth. These solutions were refined during his experience with Gartner working on enterprise architecture research for some of the world's largest companies and education systems.
His early technical career began with medical ultrasound systems, including the first blood doppler system. His subsequent work in advanced research and development in space technologies led to a patent and a technical achievement award for a breakthrough solution, most thought impossible.
Throughout his career, Mr. Guevara has been driven by a belief that "good people do good work with good focus." As a leader, he emphasizes the importance of defining and clarifying goals to empower teams and enable success.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Guevara has volunteered for 15 years as a church youth group advisor, then recently as an advisory board member for Phoenix Girls in Tech, and as IEEE Life member judging STEM competitions.
Mr. Guevara also looks forward to enjoying more personal time, including vacations with his wife to Quebec and exploring new hobbies. As he embraces the flexibility of semi-retirement, Mr. Guevara is channeling his expertise into research that bridges cutting-edge technology and real-world business needs.
