FRESNO, CA, February 04, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Rose Marie Caglia, MA, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Rose Marie Caglia, MA, celebrates many years' experience in her professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Caglia has built a distinguished career marked by her dedication to education, community service and the arts. With more than 20 years of experience in her profession, she is currently serving as a commissioner for the Parks Recreation Arts Commission in Fresno, California. In this role, she is responsible for making decisions on budget items for all the parks in the city, attending meetings once or twice a month and overseeing grant processes.
Her commitment to public service is further exemplified by her involvement with various industry-related organizations, including Mu Phi Epsilon, the San Joaquin River Parkway, the Professional Teachers Association, the National Behaviors Association and the National Education Association.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Caglia enjoyed a successful teaching career from 1998 to 2022. She was recognized as Teacher of the Year during this time, an accolade that remains a point of pride for her. Her expertise in teaching music and fine arts set her apart in the field of education. She initially taught history but later transitioned to teaching strings, band and choir due to her music credentials and the growing need for music instructors.
Before embarking on her teaching career, Ms. Caglia managed the Warnors Theatre in Fresno from 1987 to 1994. The theater has a rich history, having been established initially as Pantages Theater before being acquired by Warner Brothers and renamed Warner Theater. Her father later took ownership of the venue, and under Ms. Caglia's management, it was registered in the National Register of Historic Places. This achievement ensured its preservation as an important historic site in the United States.
This 30-year tenure as an administrator over her father's business was Ms. Caglia's foundational experience in the working world. The skills she acquired during this period — interpersonal communication, customer service, marketing and sales — were instrumental in shaping her subsequent career path. She particularly gives credit to her father for instilling in her the qualities of treating people right and doing honorable things, which have distinguished her throughout her career.
Ms. Caglia's academic background includes a Master of Arts in social science with an emphasis on public policy from Regent University in 2004 and a bachelor's degree in music from Fresno Pacific College (now Fresno Pacific University) in 1977. These educational achievements have been pivotal in her success across various roles. In addition to her education and enduring influence, she attributes much of her success to her enduring faith, which has provided strength and motivation during challenging times. She was also significantly influenced by Dr. Curtis Funk from Fresno Pacific College, who served as both a mentor and friend.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Caglia is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as Hines Hospice and Marjaree Mason Center. She is also a donor to the Warkentine Culture, Arts Center at Fresno Pacific University, CBN and Samaritan's Purse. Her contributions have been recognized with commendations from the City of Fresno.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Caglia enjoys gardening, singing in a choir, playing the cello and traveling. Born in Fresno, she remains deeply connected to her roots and community. Her advice to those entering similar fields is to emphasize the importance of hard work, integrity and service. In the upcoming years, she plans to complete her master gardener course and begin using the certification for education.
