Mr. Habitz is distinguished for his expertise as the director of program management at Milsco LLC. With a career spanning three decades, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in his field. Since 2023, Mr. Habitz has been overseeing all program management and new product development at the Milwaukee-based motor vehicle manufacturing company. This position comes after initially serving as the lead program manager from 2021 to 2023.
Leveraging over 30 years of experience in the automotive, aerospace, defense, robotics and plastics sectors, Mr. Habitz was a senior program manager at Gateway Plastics Inc. in Mequon, Wisconsin, from 2018 to 2021. His engineering and program management expertise played a crucial role in the company's growth, culminating in its acquisition by Silgan Holdings (SLGN). Mr. Habitz's tenure at Lear Corporation between 2011 and 2018 marked significant milestones in his career. As a platform manager and program manager of electrical and seating, he led a team that launched the new Buick Regal, earning the prestigious J.D. Power Award for seat design.
Mr. Habitz's earlier career included roles as a senior design engineer at Letica Corporation from 2003 to 2011 and as a design engineer at Molded Materials Inc. between 2000 and 2003. He began his professional journey in product development at Microsolid Solutions from 1994 to 1999. Throughout his career, Mr. Habitz has been recognized for his innovative contributions, holding nearly 10 U.S. patents, including those for a container with a reinforced bottom and a spout fitment and cap.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Habitz received an Associate of Science in industrial activities from Henry Ford Community College and a Bachelor of Science in program management and supply chain logistics from the University of Phoenix.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Habitz is actively involved in several industry-related organizations, such as the Plastics Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success UPOX NSLS Chapter. His civic engagements include associations with The Salvation Army, the Milwaukee School of Arts, the Milwaukee Museum, Winning Futures and RacingForTheChildren.org.
