ALEXANDRIA, VA, February 04, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Keith D. Moore has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Moore is a distinguished professional with more than nearly four decades of experience in government contracting, business development and relationship management. As the chief executive officer of KDM & Associates LLC, he has dedicated the past three years to managing more than 425 minority businesses, guiding them through the complexities of government contracting as operator of the nation's only U.S. Department of Commerce's MBDA Federal Procurement Center. His KDM brand and expertise in this field of government contracting success is widely recognized and praised.
Mr. Moore's career began at Xerox Office Products Division as the youngest person hired at Xerox in 1981 to sell Ethernet, where he served as an account representative from 1981 to 1985. He then transitioned to join his family business of elderly health care facilities located in Asbury Park and Millstone New Jersey, and Stoneville North Carolina, before selling two of their facilities, the Miami Plaza Hotel, and M&M Manor – both facilities at their height managed 137 beds. After selling the Asbury Park facilities to the State of New Jersey, Mr. Moore was hired to become the State's first ever New Jersey Commerce & Economic Growth Commission's Urban Account Executive, serving with the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission from 1997-2001. After his departure from the NJ Commerce & Economic Growth Commission in 2001, he founded KDM & Associates and served as its president until 2022 while also maintaining his role as owner and chief executive officer. Additionally, since 2009, he has been the founder and chief executive officer of Open Government TV, further solidifying his influence in the media and business sectors. Since 2021, he has operated the Minority Business Development Agency's Federal Procurement Center.
Mr. Moore's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University-Newark NJ campus in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Economic Management from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1981. His academic achievements have been instrumental in his professional success, providing him with a strong foundation in economic principles and public administration.
Throughout his career, Mr. Moore has been actively involved in various civic organizations. He served on the Board for Howard University's Executive MBA program, and on the Alumni Board of Trustees for Ohio University. His commitment to community service is further exemplified by his involvement serving under Governor Christine Todd Whitman as a New Jersey Senate Appointed member of the New Jersey Welfare Reform Commission, during his tenure as Founder of the drug and alcohol rehabilitation at EXODUS House. Mr. Moore was also appointed by the New Jersey Senate as a member of the Parole Board for the State of New Jersey.
Along with his professional endeavors, Mr. Moore has contributed significantly to publications and projects that address critical issues such as education and diversity. He co-authored "Steppin' in the Ring" in 2010, a deeply personal account of his own journey and relationship with his father as well as a tribute to his father, who achieved remarkable business success despite a lack of formal education. In addition, Mr. Moore has been a contributor to initiatives like "What Works for HBCUs in Opportunity Zones to Access Capital" and "Fresh Media and OGTV Form Strategic Partnership to Advance Precision Medicine, Big Data and STEM Diversity." He also founded the "Innovation in Agriculture and Energy Opportunity Zone Summits" in 2019, which convene world experts in energy and farming sector entrepreneurship and technology, and community revitalization – and continue today as an annual conference that has now gone global, starting with an Africa-focused Summit in 2024.
A recipient of the NAACP Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award, Mr. Moore attributes much of his success to his strong faith in God, which has guided him throughout his career and personal life. His dedication to transforming lives is evident in his most significant accomplishment: converting his family's elderly care facility into a supportive environment for individuals struggling with addiction. This transformation stands as a testament to his commitment to making a positive impact on society. He is currently a proud member of the Alfred Street Baptist Church, in Alexandria Virginia.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Moore enjoys working out, running, swimming, weightlifting and spending time with his family that includes two grandchildren – Karter and Kinsley. Looking ahead, he has plans for a second book that will further explore themes of opportunity and personal growth. As he continues his work to support minority businesses navigating the intricacies of government contracts, he envisions a society that prioritizes 'what works' and recognizes that innovation is key to transforming those solutions, both in America and worldwide.
