ENCINITAS, CA, February 05, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles J. Threatt III, LPCC, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on 15 years of expertise in teaching and counseling, Mr. Threatt is recognized for his many contributions to the education industry. He currently serves as the Dean of Students of Cathedral Catholic High School, which comprises nearly 1,700 students and is among the top academic and athletic institutions in California, and is a licensed professional counselor.

Mr. Threatt has spent a storied professional career fulfilling his aspiration to help young people overcome their struggles and set them on the path to success. While serving as a math aid, basketball and track coach at King-Chavez Community High School, he also worked as the Transfer Student Admissions Counselor at Point Loma Nazarene University. Assuming the role of Recreation Services Counselor for the City of Coronado from 2011 to 2015, he went on to work as a high school counselor at Rancho Buena Vista High School until 2017. Expanding his counseling endeavors to help more people, he served as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Restoration Therapy Center of San Diego and at the ADR Wellness mental health clinic. While completing his Counseling License, Charles worked as the Lead Counselor at Classical Academy High School Personalized Learning Center. After serving in that role for 7 years, he became the Assistant Dean of Students at Cathedral Catholic High School before ascending to his current role in 2024.

Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Threatt pursued a deep education to enhance his knowledge. After completing coursework at San Diego Christian College and MiraCosta College, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Masters of Education in Educational Counseling, from the School of Counseling and Guidance Services from Azusa Pacific University. He is certified as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and in providing pupil personnel services.

To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Mr. Threatt has been a member of the American School Counselor Association since 2013. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, he has served as a summer camp volunteer at the North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad. His outstanding influence on his profession and the community saw him recognized with the Impact Award in 2017.

Though his career counts many individual highlights, Mr. Threatt is most proud to be able to support his students through social, educational and mental health struggles and help them find their voice. While much of his work and positive effects occur behind the scenes, his reward comes when he receives letters or emails from former students who are thriving in their adult lives.

In accounting for his professional and personal success, Mr. Threatt alludes to his faith, which is a pillar of his identity and has remained the most consistent aspect of his life. He is also grateful to many friends who have stood by him during his most challenging moments and encouraged him to continue growing as both an educator and a person.

Looking to the coming years, Mr. Threatt aims to become a principal at a San Diego High School and continue to make a meaningful impact in his community. He also plans to wholly enjoy his role as a father and husband and watch his children graduate from high school. In his spare time, he takes pleasure in coaching his daughter's basketball team, executing home renovations, music and starting do-it-yourself projects.
