With ten years in this role, he has demonstrated expertise as lead counsel, managing teams and arguing complex commercial (ICC, ad hoc UNCITRAL, LCIA, ICDR, etc.) and investment (ICSID, PCA UNCITRAL) international arbitration cases. Mr. Parvanov's practice also extends to sports-related disputes, typically resolved through the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland, involving high-profile entities such as UEFA.

Before founding the International Arbitration Chambers New York in 2014, Mr. Parvanov was invited to serve as senior researcher to the Chief Reporter on the Restatement of the Law (III) of International Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration, Prof. George Bermann at the American Law Institute. Concurrently, he coached the champion team of Columbia Law School at the International Arbitration Competition in Hong Kong in 2012 and taught international arbitration at the International Arbitration Training & Assistance Institute and Fordham Law School from 2013 to 2014.

Mr. Parvanov's educational background is extensive and impressive as explicitly tailored to the practice of international law and international arbitration. Mr. Parvanov's training combines US, English, and the EU continental Civil Law traditions. He earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Columbia Law School in 2011, where he was awarded a scholar award for his academic achievements and a legal writing award from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Before this, he completed a Master of Laws at Columbia Law School in 2009 and another Master of Laws focusing on English law of international arbitration and international business law at The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2005. Mr. Parvanov earned his Civil Law degree at the "St. Klement Ohridsky" University of Sofia, where he graduated with a Magister Juris degree in 2004. Mr. Parvanov has practiced international arbitration on both sides of the Atlantic at Arsov, Natchev, Ganeva LLP in Sofia, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Paris, Wilmer Hale in Washington D.C., and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in New York.

Mr. Parvanov is the author of multiple academic publications in the field of international law and international arbitration, and an active member of various professional organizations in the US and the EU.

Outside his professional life, Mr. Parvanov enjoys spending time with his family, including his three children. He also enjoys writing and producing music, and playing guitar as a personal hobby. Mr. Parvanov is an avid skier.
