His expertise in audio production and sound design has earned him multiple accolades, including Best Sound and Best Overall Picture at the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project. Moreover, he has worked on several films, such as "Wuxing Warriors 2", "After Algos" and "It's Beautiful," showcasing his talent in production sound, dialogue editing and film scoring.

Outside of his music participation at the education level, Mr. Herman's involvement with the Southern Crescent Symphony further highlights his commitment to music. As a member of this esteemed organization, he continues to refine his musical abilities while contributing to the symphony's performances. Additionally, he is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, which supports his ongoing professional development and connection with fellow educators.

Mr. Herman also performed in various community music ensembles across Chicago, including esteemed venues such as DePaul University, Horner Park, and the IO Theater, where he contributed to both improv and musical improv shows. He has also had the pleasure of working with film greats like Tim Hartin, who has won multiple regional Emmys. He utilized QLab and Dante for the Champaign Park District dance performances.

Mr. Herman holds a master's degree in music education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which he completed in 2022, as well as a bachelor's degree from Valdosta State University. During his studies, he took part in a hip-hop collective, contributing to albums that can be found on platforms like Spotify and iTunes. Holistically, these educational achievements have been pivotal in shaping his career, providing him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in both music education and film sound design.

In all he has pursued and accomplished thus far, Mr. Herman attributes his success to being genuinely likable and building positive relationships with those around him.
