Before being recruited by American Dream, Mr. Gaus was the vice president and general manager at Hudson Yard Retail for Related Companies from 2018 to 2022. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the opening of Hudson Yards in Manhattan, an experience he found particularly rewarding. Before that, Mr. Gaus held the same title at UnibailRodamco-Westfield in 2018 and Westfield from 2013 to 2018. His tenure at Westfield also included roles as a district manager from 2013 to 2018 and senior general manager from 2006 to 2010 at several Westfield properties in the Northeast, including Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey.

Mr. Gaus's career began in aviation with United Airlines Inc., where he worked from 1989 to 2005. He started as a customer service representative before advancing to operations supervisor from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Gaus then became the regional finance manager between 1999 and 2000, culminating in his role as the youngest general manager at United Airlines from 2000 to 2005 at several airports across the county.

Mr. Gaus's educational background includes college coursework and executive education in iconic leadership at the University of California Los Angeles from 2013 to 2014. In addition to his professional achievements, he is actively involved in civic-related organizations such as the Citizens Police Academy and his local chamber of commerce. Moreover, Mr. Gaus has served as a mentor for American Corporate Partners since 2018, demonstrating his commitment to guiding future leaders.

In light of his contributions, Mr. Gaus has been recognized with numerous internal awards from Westfield and United Airlines. He attributes much of his success to the values instilled by his parents, who emphasized hard work and dedication despite not being business professionals themselves.
