Earlier in his career, he was a personal computer consultant with International Business Associates in Cairo, Egypt, from 1985 to 1987 and a scientist at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, from 1981 to 1985.
In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Meres holds a patent for an emitter tapering method of improving temperature uniformity across high aspect ratio transistors granted in 2002. He is also a past member of the IEEE, where he was able to stay abreast of industry developments.
Mr. Meres's academic foundation includes a Master of Science in applied physics from Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, which he completed in 1985. After his education, he traveled to various countries and contributed to several organizations before immigrating to the United States in 2006.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Meres enjoys spending time with his family, including his dog.
