Ms. Murray brings four years of professional experience to Silsbee Independent School District. An expert in high school-level English education, she is responsible for teaching the gifted and the talented, overseeing advanced placement programs in language and composition and literature and composition, developing curriculum in advanced placement English, managing gifted and talented independent study pilot programs, and training students in literary criticism. Ms. Murray attributes her success to her enjoyment of her job and her love for her students.

A product of Texas A&M University, Ms. Murray holds a Master's Degree, Plus 24, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. She counts United Way and Child Advocates among her favorite charities. Her future goals include writing curriculum and teaching at a university as an adjunct professor.
