A distinguished visionary engineer known for his problem-solving skills, Dr. Shaw currently serves as a senior technical program manager at Belcan. In this role, he is responsible for developing cost-reduction strategies for rockets to reach specific targets and leads his team in their execution. His career spans more than 25 years and is marked by numerous progressive roles that highlight his expertise in engineering and management.

Prior to reaching his current position, Dr. Shaw was the wire harness fabrication manufacturing engineering manager at Blue Origin LLC from 2022 to 2024. Before that, he held several key roles at NASA Space Launch Systems with Boeing, including engine section manufacturing manager from 2021 to 2022 and senior SLS electrical manufacturing engineer lead from 2020 to 2021. His tenure at Boeing also included positions as an engine section electrical manufacturing engineer lead from 2019 to 2020 and a contractor role as a senior SLS electrical business process design engineer.

Dr. Shaw's earlier career includes significant contributions as a senior project manufacturing engineer 3 at Boeing from 2018 to 2019 and as a senior advanced manufacturing engineer and project leader at General Electric (GE) Health Care from 2015 to 2018. He also served as a consultant advanced manufacturing engineer at GE from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, he has shared his knowledge and expertise as an adjunct professor of business and management at institutions such as Coker College, Johnson C. Smith University and Virginia College. At every place he has worked and taught, he takes great joy in using his leadership skills to help others reach their own goals.

Dr. Shaw's professional success stems from his equally storied academic journey, which began with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from South Carolina State University in 2003 and was complemented by a Master of Business Administration from Webster University in 2005. He furthered his education with a Master of Philosophy and PhD in engineering management from Walden University, both completed in 2019.

To augment his knowledge and qualifications, Dr. Shaw holds certifications in Six Sigma and project management, both of which have enhanced his ability to lead complex projects efficiently. He attributes much of his success to the support of his family, particularly his parents, late grandmother, godfather and uncle, who all served as early mentors. His family remains a central source of motivation, driving him to excel professionally and personally.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Shaw is the founder of the Destiny International Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing necessities within underserved communities. He has also contributed academically through his dissertation titled "A Quantitative Evaluation of the Productivity of the Mercedes-Benz Production System," completed at Walden University in 2019.

In his personal life, Dr. Shaw enjoys reading motivational and leadership content, listening to audiobooks and golfing. He is committed to preserving the legacy of his late wife through writing and aims to return to academia as a professor while exploring multifamily property investment research. Additionally, he plans to revitalize the Destiny International Foundation to further its impact on communities in need.
