Subsequently, she finished a PhD in exercise physiology from the University of Florida in 1999 and completed postdoctoral work in clinical research at the University of Virginia in 2005, all toward facilitating her vision of becoming an educator and mentor to others pursuing a career in the field.

The pursuit of civic service is a key component of Dr. Vincent's profile. She has been engaged in community outreach through running performance services since 2009 and serves as a volunteer public speaker at the University of Florida. As a board member of trustees for the American College of Sports Medicine since 1991, she continues to contribute to advancing sports medicine and offers free educational sessions.
