Mr. Gomez's earlier roles included executive positions at Bently Nevada in Houston, Waygate Technologies in Germany, Nuovo Pignone in Mexico City, and Vetco Gray Inc. in Houston. His professional journey began with General Electric (GE) Company, where he held various roles from 2007 to 2013. He was the first analyst at GE Capital to join their mergers and acquisitions (M&A) organization, focusing on buying and selling banks worldwide. His leadership in this area led to joining the creation of a new Latin American-focused M&A organization. He also completed the Accelerated Leadership Program (XLP) at GE, which included rotations in global supply chain, commercial operations, oil and gas digital commercialization, and thought leadership for Latin America. From 2015 to 2016, he also worked for GE Oil & Gas as a digital software and solutions commercialization leader.

Before earning a degree, Mr. Gomez pursued intense Mandarin language studies at Beijing International Studies University and East China Normal University in 2005. Subsequently, he received a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 2006 from the University of Florida. Mr. Gomez holds green belt certification from GE, further underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He is also fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Gomez is actively involved in industry and civic-minded organizations such as the Entytle Customer Advisory Board. He serves as an executive champion for Baker Hughes's LatinX Employee Resource Group and University of Florida recruiting efforts.
