From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Kerr served as the acting chief compliance officer and chief audit executive at Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Virginia. In this capacity, he was instrumental in overseeing compliance programs and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Before this role, he was the chief audit executive at CVS Health in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where he played a crucial role in enhancing the company's internal audit functions. Between 2015 and 2016, Mr. Kerr managed more than 100 full-time internal auditors and IT audit professionals and oversaw the organization and deliverables for 9,600 retail pharmacies and a $200 billion PBM and pharmacy operation.

Before joining CVS Health, Mr. Kerr was the managing director of governance, compliance and regulatory risk at Deloitte and Touche in Nashville from 2013 to 2014. His expertise in regulatory risk management was pivotal during his tenure. Earlier in his career, he held the position of senior vice president and chief compliance officer at Fresenius Medical Care North America from 2004 to 2012. During this time, he joined the company following a significant settlement with the Department of Justice and the Inspector General's Office, marking a critical period for the organization. Additionally, Mr. Kerr helped expand the company's compliance program to align with $10 billion in operational growth.

Mr. Kerr's career included serving as senior vice president and chief compliance officer at LifePoint Health in Nashville from 1999 to 2004. He was one of the key executives who founded the company, which went public in 1999 and has since grown into a multibillion-dollar enterprise. In addition, Mr. Kerr served in senior leadership roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. His military service as part of the U.S. Air Force Missile Logistics Active Duty and Air National Guard at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri from 1984 to 1989 laid a strong foundation for his disciplined approach to business.

Mr. Kerr graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business from Park University. He became a certified public accountant in 1990, which has been integral to his professional success.
