Dr. Heather R. Curtis is a psychiatrist, educator and executive director of I THRIVE, a nonprofit supporting survivors of sexual violence, mental illness and trauma. Inspired by her father's support and a family legacy of military service, she pursued her childhood dream of becoming a physician. Dr. Curtis studied abroad in London with Brigham Young University, later completing a BS in biology at Utah State University. She earned an MD at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, followed by an internship in internal medicine and a residency in adult psychiatry.
