At a young age, Charles W. Perryman Jr. felt a strong pull towards a career in technology. He attended Northern Virginia Community College, where he learned about coding, machine language and information technology (IT). After earning an associate degree in business management in 1984, he began working in the IT industry and secured a position at SWIFT, where he would remain until his retirement in 2024. Mr. Perryman continued his education as a mid-career professional and holds a Bachelor of Science from Strayer University. During his time with SWIFT, he explored five different career paths culminating in a position as the company's global data center manager.
