Prior to that, she was a manufacturing program manager at Cree in Raleigh-Durham from 2016 to 2021, where she oversaw manufacturing processes and ensured operational efficiency.

Ms. Yuan's career trajectory includes her tenure as a senior buyer and global commodity owner at Cree in Durham from 2012 to 2016. Her expertise in procurement and commodity management was further developed during her time as a manager of global business development at Longistics in Raleigh-Durham from 2010 to 2012. Earlier in her career, she worked as a senior financial analyst at Bayer Technology Services in 2008, where she received an employee service award, and as an operations officer at Bayer Technology Services in Shanghai for the preceding three years. She began her professional journey as a facilities supervisor at Picanol in Shanghai from 2002 to 2004.

Ms. Yuan's educational background has been instrumental in her success, earning a Master of Business Administration in marketing and supply chains from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2009. Additionally, she obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Liaoning University in China, before immigrating to the United States. Her ability to navigate both Chinese and American cultures has been a significant factor in her achievements, along with her hard work and her MBA education in the U.S.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Yuan is actively involved in civic organizations. She served as a mentor for the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants from 2009 to 2010 and currently contributes to local communities through product donations.

In her personal life, Ms. Yuan enjoys rock climbing, reading philosophy books, spending time with her family and running marathons, having qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2018.
