Prior to her current role, Dr. Woolsey served as a teacher, building principal, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, and superintendent of schools in Missouri. Her leadership style fostered an environment of professional growth and collaboration. She has served as a mentor and advisor to the educators she has worked with. From 2013 to 2019, Dr. Woolsey served as a regional director for AdvancED, working with school leaders in the continuous improvement process.

Dr. Woolsey's academic journey laid a strong foundation for her career achievements, earning a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from Saint Louis University in 2013. This was preceded by a Specialist in Education Leadership (1999) and Master of Science in education and educational leadership and administration from Missouri State University in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts in education from Baptist Christian College in 1989. In addition to her education, she attributes her success to the support of her husband and family.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Woolsey is actively involved with civic work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she has contributed since 2020. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also finds joy in traveling with her husband.

Looking toward the future, Dr. Woolsey aims to continue supporting school leaders across the country while mentoring her grandchildren as they embark on their own career journeys. Her commitment to education and family remains unwavering as she continues to make a positive impact both professionally and personally.
