Throughout her career, she has consistently driven large-scale Agile transformations and successfully implemented SAFe frameworks, showcasing a passion for optimizing processes and fostering high-performing teams.
Ms. Baraya has a proven track record of leading Agile transformations at significant organizations, including the U.S. General Services Administration and the U.S. Department of State, where she established Lean Agile Centers of Excellence and implemented Agile transformation roadmaps. Her expertise extends to providing coaching and training to individuals and teams at all levels, from senior leadership to development teams, enabling them to adopt an Agile mindset and achieve business objectives. She has trained and coached over 1,000 professionals in Agile methodologies.
In her role as Agile solution architect at CACI Inc., Ms. Baraya specializes in driving organizational agility through SAFe training at the corporate level, providing expert guidance and support for Agile implementations across diverse programs and contributing significantly to proposal development efforts. Her experience also includes holding the positions of senior director and enterprise Agile coach at Ascella Technologies, where she led large-scale Agile transformations and provided Agile coaching to various programs.
During her time at CGI Federal from 2018 to 2022, Ms. Baraya was instrumental in driving Agile transformations through SAFe implementations and training initiatives. She coached teams and leadership, conducted SAFe certification trainings, contributed to proposal development across various programs and established Lean Agile Centers of Excellence. She received two awards within the first two months of joining CGI. From 2016 to 2018, she served as a Scrum Master for the GSA program at Octo Consulting Group, managing development efforts, coaching teams on Agile and SAFe methodologies and designing Agile processes to enhance team performance and delivery.
Ms. Baraya has also held positions at Symantec as a senior technical program manager/Scrum master and senior SQL developer from 2012 to 2016, where she received three innovation awards, Comscore as a senior web and database application developer from 2008 to 2012, and Microsoft as a software development engineer II from 2007 to 2008. Her entry into the Agile field began during Symantec's Agile transformation.
Ms. Baraya's commitment to the Agile community is evident in her volunteer work. She played a pivotal role in planning, organizing and facilitating the Agile 20 Conference, a significant event commemorating the 20th year of Agile attended by 750 Agilists. Additionally, she co-founded the Loudoun Agile Network (LAN) in 2020, which has grown into a vibrant Agile community initiative with over 2,128 members. She continues to serve the community as an organizer with LAN, finding speakers, hosting events and actively supporting Agile professionals.
Ms. Baraya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science from Govt. MBM Engineering College in Jodhpur, India. She possesses certifications in ICAgile Coaching Agile Transformations and ICAgile Product Management and is credentialed as a Release Train Engineer, SAFe practice consultant, Project Management Professional, and Certified Scrum Master.
Ms. Baraya attributes her success to her continuous desire to learn and grow, actively seeking opportunities for improvement and contribution. Outside her professional life, she enjoys reading and walking. She is married to Vivek Baraya and is a mother of two sons. Looking ahead, she aspires to become an SPCT, the highest level of SAFe implementation expertise, to further contribute to the community and expand her impact in Agile methodologies.
