Prior to joining SEI, Ms. Howell's career trajectory included significant positions such as director of operations at Woodard Consulting Group from 2013 to 2014 and senior manager at Manhattan Associates from 2010 to 2013. At Manhattan Associates, she was recognized with the Spirit Award in 2008 for her exceptional leadership as a consulting manager from 2007 to 2010. Earlier in her career, she served as a senior industrial engineer at The Home Depot from 2004 to 2007, where she received the Excellence Award in Delivery in 2005. Ms. Howell began her career in automotive manufacturing as a young industrial engineer within leading corporations like General Motors and Honda.

Ms. Howell's educational background is robust. In 2013, she earned a Master of Business Administration in global business from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Spelman College. Her academic achievements have been complemented by the John Maxwell Certified Coaching Program, a Lean Six Sigma Certification from Georgia Tech, and a Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certification from Cornell University in 2021.

Ms. Howell's professional affiliations include her involvement with the Georgia Tech Women Alumnae Network as chair emeritus of the board of directors and with the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation as an alumni board member. She became a Coca-Cola Scholar in 1996 and has been a coach and mentor with the organization since 2017, demonstrating her commitment to leadership development. She is also a member of the Technology Association of Georgia and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Howell is actively involved in civic organizations. She volunteers regularly with Hands On Atlanta and contributes her time and talent to Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Her dedication to mentoring young women is demonstrated through her involvement with nSORO, supporting female students transitioning out of foster care.

In her personal life, Ms. Howell enjoys excursions with her family and friends. She and her husband actively support their children's academic endeavors and extracurricular activities, such as competitive dance, baseball and music recitals. A talented singer, Ms. Howell has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and led praise and worship for her church.
