With a focus on breathing support and learning disabilities, she has invented tools and color-coded systems specifically for musicians who struggle to read numbers and notes. In addition to her work at Sing and Relax in Pittsburgh, Ms. Vanella has been a contracting vocal coach at Sing and Relax Orlando since 2017. She also contributes her talents as a singer and accompanist with Musicians with a Mission. Her earlier experiences include serving as an arts program assistant head counselor at Camp Winnebago and as a head counselor and cooking instructor for the Girl Scouts of Northern California in 2011. A former international opera competitor, she possesses an enhanced understanding of diverse cultures and educational environments that has shaped her approach to teaching.

Ms. Vanella's academic journey is marked by significant achievements that have contributed to her professional success. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in multidisciplinary studies in English, theatre and music from West Virginia University, graduating in 2008. Additionally, she earned a Master of Music in classical performance from Wichita State University in 2010 and an artist diploma in opera from Duquesne University in 2012. Committed to continuous learning and professional growth, she is currently pursuing a PhD at New York University and is certified in vocal pedagogy by the same institution.

To further enhance her ability to lead and inspire others, Ms. Vanella is certified in advanced leadership skills, emotional intelligence, conflict management and people management by Forbes Media LLC. Her qualifications are complemented by her membership in the Music Teachers National Association and the Women's Business Network, reflecting her commitment to both community and industry engagement. Dedicated to sharing her knowledge through various mediums, she is currently in the process of publishing her debut music therapy book, "Tell Me About the Music," and has successfully secured an editor and publisher for the project.

Ms. Vanella's dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors into civic involvement. She has been actively engaged with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America as a creative art educator and has maintained a 30-year association with the Girl Scouts of America. In recognition of her dedication to innovative music education, Sing and Relax was named as the Best in Pittsburgh for vocal coaching studios in 2024.

Outside of her career, Ms. Vanella enjoys cooking and baking pastries and cakes. In the coming years, she aims to expand her program "Unleash the Hearts Academy," which operates at her local church. Her vision is to transform it into a school that provides comprehensive support for teachers to better understand students with anxiety disorders and learning disabilities. Additionally, she remains dedicated to the growth of Sing and Relax Studios, underscoring her continued commitment to making a difference through education, music and compassion.
