Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek's professional journey began in the mid-1980s as a product marketing engineer at Kontron Electronics. Transitioning to Informix Software as a systems engineer, he honed his skills in heterogeneous distributed computing while working as a product manager at Excelan which laid the networking basis of the internet. At Ingres/Actian from 1988 to 1991, he managed distributed Ingres product marketing, positioning the company's database management system as the most advanced on the market. A three-year tenure at Oracle in the early 1990s saw him execute a nationwide coexistence campaign aimed at fostering collaboration between open UNIX vendors and proprietary legacy vendors.

From 1995 to 2005, Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek worked at Stem Cell Action (2002-2003), where he helped those struggling with debilitating diseases and continued to influence the industry with his groundbreaking articles on heterogeneous distributed computing. Afterward, he embarked on a global journey, traveling to 87 countries while pursuing advanced degrees. Since his travels concluded in 2018, he has been actively involved in AI and synthetic biology tech conferences as an AI biotech researcher. He is currently in the throes of leading another revolution: applying machine learning to biotechnology.

Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek's academic achievements are extensive and have played a crucial role in his success. In addition to his doctarate, he holds an MBA from California State University-East Bay, earned in 2011, and a Master of Science in computational molecular biology from the same institution, earned in 2008. He conducted his master's thesis in computational neuroscience at Stanford University in 2008, earning a Best Thesis Award. His educational foundation began with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, obtained in 1984, which fueled his interest in understanding machines that mimic human mental operations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek is an accomplished author with numerous publications to his name, including "The Big Picture," "Exploring Improvements in Machine Learning" and "A Computational Platform to Analyze the C. Elegans Nervous System." He has also contributed significantly to scientific literature with papers on topics such as chemoinformatics analysis and functional neuroanatomy.
