Mr. Van Daalen has established a distinguished career in the field of tennis coaching and development, currently serving as the director of tennis at the Miami Beach Tennis Center since 2016. In this role, he has been instrumental in enhancing the center's facilities, including building a new clubhouse and café and upgrading the overall infrastructure. His dedication to nurturing young talent is further evident in his efforts to help athletes secure college scholarships.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Van Daalen was the director of player development for the Finnish Federation from 2013 to 2016. During this time, he developed a comprehensive player development system in Finland and oversaw the top juniors and professionals, as well as prestigious events, such as the Davis Cup and Fed Cup.

Before his tenure in Finland, he served as a personal coach at Wesley Chapel from 2008 to 2013, where he focused on coaching and mentoring professional and junior players.

For the preceding 12 years, Mr. Van Daalen was a national coach with the United States Tennis Association, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous national and international athletes.

His earlier career included serving as the director of women's tennis for the Dutch Federation for two years and coaching at an academy in Amsterdam (Popeye Gold Star) for three years. Notably, during his time in Amsterdam, he selected and trained eight players who all turned professional, leading his academy to win the international team championships in Amsterdam for three consecutive years.

Mr. Van Daalen's journey began with an internship at the Harry Hopman Academy in Florida, which paved the way for his role as a national coach in Holland. His early career also includes coaching at Saddlebrook Resort, where he worked with top players like Andrea Jaeger, Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Jennifer Capriati, Mary Pierce, Jared Palmer, and many other professionals.

Before joining the sports industry, he served as a sergeant in the Dutch Armed Forces for 18 months.

Academically, Mr. Van Daalen completed coursework in mechanical engineering at a technical college in Holland before pursuing an advanced tennis coaching education. He holds certifications in advanced coaching and is a certified tennis coach with the Dutch Tennis Federation, the USTA and PTR. His passion for tennis and desire to give back have been the driving forces behind his success.

Further contributing to his industry, Mr. Van Daalen has published several books, including three volumes of "Teaching Tennis," focused on the development of champions, advanced players and the fundamentals of the game. These works reflect his deep understanding of the sport and commitment to sharing knowledge with coaches, players and parents.

Born in Colchester, England, Mr. Van Daalen spent much of his childhood traveling, as his father worked for Shell. His family lived in Nigeria when he was very young and then relocated to the Netherlands, where he learned to speak Dutch, completed his primary education and began his tennis journey.

In his personal life, Mr. Van Daalen enjoys spending time with his family, including his two sons, and playing golf in his free time. He is also an active supporter of tennis events and various charity work.
